Safari Bites is an after-school educational adventure led by 9-year-old founder, Madhav Somani.
Kids don’t just sit and listen. They:
- make no-cook global recipes
- explore history, geography & culture
- explore Hands-on STEM projects
- experiment with food & science
It’s a hands-on, brain-on, taste-bud-tingling journey through:
- Healthy eating – Because veggies and smart choices don’t have to be boring.
- Global flavors – Bento boxes from Japan, spices from India, snacks from around the world.
- Food & STEM science – From “Why does lemonade taste sweeter when it’s warm?” to “How does a sensor know when a robot should stop?”
Every class is one part learning, one part adventure, and all parts fun.
WHO’S BEHIND SAFARI BITES?
Meet Madhav, our founder.
- 10 years old
- Loves food, history, science, and big ideas
- Decided kids should have more fun learning what they eat and how the world works
He convinced his dad, Abhishek Somani—an energy scientist who solves real-world problems for a national lab—to help turn his idea into a real program.
- Together, they built Safari Bites:
- a place where kids don’t just eat food or use technology…
- they understand it, build with it, and explore the world through it.
Madhav’s vision:
- Start with after-school cooking & STEM classes
- Grow into snacks, games, STEM kits, and maybe even robots & food trucks someday
World domination? Not yet.
But after-school adventures? Absolutely.
WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENS IN A CLASS?
It’s simple:
 Because driving to one more activity shouldn’t be a second job.
